check your local bookstores magazine rack. there are a few mags that 
cover that subject. Definately find a local expert. There are a few 
factors involved in finding out what and how much you need..ie: how much 
power you need to run everything, annual sunshine,southern 
exposure.Depending on where you live there may be tax breaks for going 
solar . Also check the local power providers policy on selling back  
surplus energy.some are much better than others. there is also wind and 
hydro ( water)  systems. but like I said find a local expert and it 
shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.
