It works well enough I suppose, but I find I like the DC version better.

The 7018AC seems to sputter quite a bit. It doesn't provide as smooth 
an arc as the DC, IMHO. Maybe it's my technique with it. I generally 
like welding with DC better overall, so I'm clearly prejudiced. :)

If anybody has suggestions to improve technique, I'm open. Often it's 
the only 7018 available those times I forget that it was time to go buy 
some rod about two weeks ago. :)
