Hi guys,
Is there a difference in welding rod based onwhere you buy it? I am buying rod from Harbor Freight and my welds are cracking. Now, admittedly, I am a lousy welder, but I have good penetration and not totally ugly welds, it just seems like there a pot of voids and inclusions.
     Any help is appreciated.

It is I who formed the blacksmith,
who fans the flame into a fire and
fashions a weapon fit for it's work.
