What if you put a medal cut off blade in a 7 1/2" skill saw and cut it using a guide to keep you straight. I use cut off blades to do lot of my metal work and I used one to cut a piece of a copper tubing that was 10" in dia. It was real quick. I think it was at least 12 gauge thick Later Ike Pan's Forge Out of the heat and into 4 seasons.
