Greetings,

An old woman I know used to forge tools  in a pretty cold shop.  The 
only heat in the shop/forging areas were the forges most of which 
weren't burning by the end of her time there.  She always preheated her 
air hammer dies before she started when the shop was cold.  She had a 
furnace that she used for this.
