What Al found was that he spent a lot of time clearing his metering
valves using drain oil..lots of bonus stuff comes with it. I think he
ended up with his tank on a stand so gravity flow forced the oil through
an auto engine filter.
I think he tried atomizing the oil but the small openings kept clogging
and the whole system choked when it got cold outside.
He used a steel pipe going into a firebox with an oil drip into the
air blast coming through the pipe. The end of the pipe was red hot
where it entered the firebox so the oil was pretty much vaporized by the
time it hit the incandescent firebox walls.
