Thanks.  I'm not thinking of using it for a fan, rather I'm looking at 
powering a gear pump and varying the motor speed to change flow rates.  I 
know how to do it otherwise (plumbing and an extra valve or two) but was 
thinking that varying the motor speed would be more practical.
