[TheForge] angled tenons

In the NWBA video library there is a DVD from the Spring 2004 conference of
Arnon Kartmazof demonstrating making a Japanese chisel. One of the segments
explains how Uri Hoffee (??spelling??) makes angled tennons.
Basic idea is first make a straight tennon but offset to one side. Stick the
tennon in the monkey tool (ordinary straight monkey tool) with the offset
tennon in the position that will have it closest to the top side after you
bend the bar to the angle you want it offset. Using glancing blows on the
top of the bar, drive the tennon into the monkey tool. Once the tennon is
all the way in the monkey tool you hit the end of the bar and the tennon is
moved across the face of the bar to the center of the angled face.
The monkey tool has to have chamfered edges on the hole and you have to keep
the tennon end of the bar at least orange. Probably using a torch to keep it
hot.
