Frosty,

You can use 6011 with either but 6010, (5-p) works on DC reverse polarity.
7018 is a dc rod that likes a clean welding surface and a close arc, no
paint, rust, slag, etc on the grounded surface or the work. 6011 will weld
through almost anything.

6013 is AC rod and if it runs fine you almost undoubtably have an AC
machine. Odd number rods are AC, even are DC

Go to the welding supply and get an AC 70xx rod. Get a couple lbs of
different rods to try.
