The Albrecht is a Jacobs taper #2 his drill press is a Jacobs taper
# 33 The quill on the drill press has the Jacobs taper machined
onto the end of the drill press quill so it is not a separate item
this is typical of most new drill presses. Many older drill presses
and typically larger industrial drill presses had a internal Morris
taper so that an arbor with a Morris taper on one end and a Jacobs
taper on the other could be placed in the quill and it was easy to
change out the arbor to a different Jacobs taper. Mark does not have
that option. There is no way to mate the Albrecht chuck he presently
has to his drill press. His options are to machine a new quill or buy
another Albrecht chuck with a Jacobs taper #33
