I did this while replacing the chuck on a hand held drill. I managed to get
the new one on but had to use loc-tite to keep it in place since I screwed
up the threads on the retaining screw. Before the loc-tite whenever I tried
to back a screw out it would just unscrew the chuck from the drill.
PS: I have a Jacobs keyles chuck on my Milwaukee hammer drill, and hate it.
It's almost imposible to get it tight enough to keep it from slipping, and
then I have a battle getting it loose.

I had th echuck off once before and replaced it and never had a problem...I
have heard that the ALBRECHT is a dream to work with...I'll use it and if I
don't like it I can always go back...But to have a $300 precision made chuck
sitting in front of you as you battle with the stock chuck just drove me
crazy!!
Thanks
Mark
