Mark,
Tom just described how to remove a morse taper chuck. A Jacobs taper chuck
is removed by driving a tapered wedge between the chuck and the quill. A
tapered fork that will just fit around the quill just above the chuck works
a lot easier than a plain wedge. Darrell



What if the chuck is off of the arbor/quill?

Assuming that I understand what is going on here, I don't need to remove the
pulley that is attached to the top of the quill assmebly inside the belt
compartment to remove the arbor?
