Steve,
I have done that with car salesmen, it works. I have done this
tactic with machinery salesman now and then. I buy a few special thread tap
and dies every so often, and the prices come down after I say that my
customer can't pay the difference in prices between me and my competitor.
The price comes down about 30%.
I buy regularly and pay my bills pretty much on time, never more
than 45 days.
