Basically I am saying that perhaps folks do not see the folks who are
running as really helping the cause. Yeah I know if that is so then why not
run yourself. That is why I said that the reason more canidates are not
found is most likely due to money concerns.
I agree that it is not about money or value in the traditional sense but it
should be about community etc. ANd I feel for me that the current ABANA
environment is NOT a good community for me. Not saying that it is not a
good group, just saying that for me it is not. From talking with most of my
friends etc who have dropped it is for much the same reasons, but for this
discussion we will only talk about me as I will not try to put words into
others mouths, as they can do it for themselves. (smile)
BUt to be honest, I will most likely join again in time for the next
conference as it is in Seattle ( correct?) and that is just too close for
me to miss. To be honest at the conferences I spend more time looking up
old freinds and talking and less time with the organized events. You gotta
pick and choose. But then I know that you know that. Shoot I expect that we
will get to meet face to face finally. <g>

All in all this is all fun stuff and so we should all try to get what we
can from it and also try ot put in what we can.
Which I think we are doing.
