Not all stem cells come from fetal tissue. There are adult stem cells.  The 
fetus in question are those that are sitting in storage and will be disposed of 
if not used for research. These are fetus's that will never be implanted and 
will be otherwise destroyed.  

To draw a very callous parallel it is the same as you seeing the perfect 
piece of metal sitting in a persons trash can. It is exactly the right form, the 
right alloy, everything you needed to finish your most prized project. All you 
have to do is walk over and save it from the trash heap.

Time enough for sleep in the grave.
