I have had 2 'coon incidents within the first year of living here... And
then none.

The first was when I found one of our garbage cans full of water and what I
thought was my cat face down in it... I was wondering how I would tell the
kids as I extracted it only to find that either my cat decided to rob banks
with a mask on, or this wasn't my cat.

A while later my dog cornered one in an outbuilding. Without a lethal
remedy I turned to my trusty paintball gun. By the time I let the coon go
he was a nice chartreuse. I figure the combo of either not coming back or
having to explain the strange fur coloration to your mate was enough to
have them spreading the word that the ol' Silver place was not a five star
restaurant.
