The paraffin just firms up the stick and makes it easier to work with. I'm
talking the stuff you get at the grocery store for canning (cheap). Just
run the lub stick against the blade for a revolution. No fuss and no mess.
the lub stick can set on the shelf beside the saw forever. No cans, jars or
what to mess with. I raise bees, the toilet papers cores are free and all I
have to do is swipe a block of canning wax from the wife. Use an old tin
can on top of the forge (gas) to melt. Pour in paper core (best to stand
the core up on a piece of wax paper, making a short pour to plug off the
bottom first). And, you are good to go.
