Frosty,
Lifelong Democrat here (because I never found a Republican candidate
better than his democratic opponent, and mostly found them a lot worse -
relative to my positions on the issues, of course). OTOH, I have never
had any formal association with the Democratic party either, aside from
voter registration in states requiring it.
With those credentials, let me assure you I do NOT see the media as
backing any Democratic agenda.
I think the confusion here it the muck-raking swill the media presents
it audience MIGHT be deemed "populist" and the Democratic party tends to
be more populist than the Republican party. But that's where the
similarity ends. Yes, there are Democrat-oriented commentators, but I
don't notice any lack of Republican-oriented commentators.
But the bottom line, really, is who OWNS the media? Look into that and
let me know. It's gotta be moneyed interests, and guess which party
most of THOSE align with...
Respectfully,
Bruce Freeman

Nice rant Andy.
I don't think it'll make a lot of difference though. All you'd have to
do is
change maybe a dozen words and it'd describe CBS's (ABC & NBC's for
that
matter) coverage of anything republican and CBS-almighty doesn't give
spit
for what 40% of the USA thinks of them. Why in the world would they
care
what we think?
Of course the network media has the democratic party on their side so
I
guess they're justified in not caring what productive citizens think.
Or am I just missing the irony?
Frosty
