[TheForge] Gas forge torch...

I've been using a modification of the sidearm burner that Mike Porter
designed for something over a year now, but I've not gotten a flame quite as
clean-looking as your picture. After looking at your pictures, I went and
ordered Mike's book. I really shouldn't complain; I've had results better
than any of my friends with commercial gas forges, but I always want to
tweak it just a bit more.
I have a question for other gas forge owners out there. What's the best way
to mount the burners to the forge, bearing in mind that they have to come
out fairly easily to change nozzles or jets, and sometimes to transport the
thing. I have a way that works, but I'm open to suggestions for
improvement.

P.S. I found three stores here in Tallahassee that carry the small plumbing
parts for the burners.

Hi all,
Well Michael, I'd have to say your book is worthwhile. :) I
performed my first test yesterday, with little (read: no) tuning,
and it performed nicely. I've built the 3/4" forge burner,
mostly anyway.
For those of you in Seattle: Lowes and Home Depot don't carry 1/4"
or 1/8" NPT fittings (or otherwise, not that I could find, or the sales
people could find. :P). Hardwicks in the U District, however, does.
Oh, and there are pictures! :)

Enjoy,
Gabriel (who is enjoying a new way to use up propane. ;))
