Remember, the key element here is the width of the vise. 3 1/2 and 4 inch
vises are very common and I often see good ones go for $15- $20. Every
farm had one or two. The wider vises were not as common, those were found
in the commercial/industrial blacksmith settings. Here in Mid Atlantic
region, vises larger than 4 to 4 1/2 inches are pretty scarce.
