I lived on Todt Hill road until they tore down my family's home for the
access road to the Verrazano Bridge.
Later moved to Colonial Court across the street from the Barrett Park Zoo .
I was a life guard at Great Kills Beach for 5  years.
Before the dumps, they had Nassau smelting near Tottenville.
No living thing grew within a 5 mile radius of the plant.
