Grant,
I am also getting a large screw press ready to "roll" by 
making a frame for underneath with casters.  This is a large 
press--about 2000 pounds.  The casters are 9" dia.  What I 
opted to do was to make the caster supports and fasten them 
to the frame. I will use foot pads that screw down to raise 
the machine off the casters.  This seemed less complicated 
than making tilting caster brackets or ...
