	It's a hammer, of sorts.  Long-ish, used to hammer from inside a
	deep hollow vessel.  You place the "hammer" head on the area you
	want to hammer outward ("raise" or "sink" depending on how one
	looks at it) and strike the exposed section of iron, causing it
	to oscillate "up and down" and imparting the energy of the blow
	to the work at the head.

	I know this is a pretty lousy description, but it's the best my
	tiny little mind can dredge up at the moment.
