Unsolicited do-gooding is at the apex of hubris, right next to
things such as self-deprecation/self-hatred.
But if Bruce is looking to make a buck at this, I certainly do
respect that, especially in the context of this insane culture
in which we find ourselves.

I wholly agree. Anyone needing help and asking me for it, I will
bend over backwards for, and in fact have done so many times,
if I may toot my own horn a bit. The rest, I wish all the best
but I will not lift a finger for them if I judge them not worth
helping. This is where I differ from many others who were raised
with the belief that we have no right to judge others and must help
one and all. I judge plenty, and I believe very fairly. I'm sure
I have done so incorrectly more than once and I am sorry if I've
ever walked away from someone that would have otherwise been deserving
of my attention, but I am only human and can do only so much. One
thing I don't cotton to is pissing my life and time down a rathole.
There is nothing uglier to my eye than the sight of a parasitic
personality sucking the life out of those around them with the
"oh PLEASE help me" act with no intentions of making good on the
generosity of others except to sate their latest need for a fix.
