Shannell, What's lagging the line?
About the only thing that makes air systems in sub zero weather work is an
air dryer and even those are not fool proof(some moisture always
accumulates. Sawmills run into the same thing and heated buildings are
about the only answer. Air is fast, but it his it's draw backs in cold
weather. You can run alchohol in the tanks, but the hammer's exhaust would
be flamable near the forging area - so that won't work either.
Pretty much the hardest thing to build on a mechanical hammer would be a
good mechanical friction clutch. Anyone know of a good mechanical clutch
and not air, electric or magneticly operated?
Ralph
