[TheForge] - a safety issue?

I could put sensors on the reins that detect all 5 fingers and prevent the
hammer from starting for you.

That's the kind of stuff I do. Light curtains and 2 hand no tie downs.

Make it so all 5 sensors have to be actuated simaltainously before entering
a light curtain and your other hand needs to be in your pocket or on a
button just outside of the light curtain. We could tie this to a lock on the
foot peddle that won't allow you to depress it until the conditions are met.
Let's see the sensors are about $65 a peice, the PLC is between $1000 and
$5000 The light curtain is about..... Wait let's just make sure we have a
proper grip. Maybe put up a sign. I'll send out a picture of when I got my
fingers cut off and everyone can post it in the shop.

Let's face it, we all know when we are doing it right or cutting corners,
Right?
Marc
