[TheForge] Tongs & power hammer - a safety issue?

No, Kevin. I know it's Monday, but ...
When you squeeze the jaws you bring the reins together, just like when
you squeeze the reins, you bring the jaws together. I'm sure he meant
catching the jaws between hammer and anvil.

I could only imagine that he meant that the hammer slams the reins

as slamming the jaws together ought to open the reins, don'cha think?
or is
that splitting hairs and missing the point? Can't imagine getting the
work
all the way through to the reins while working the treadle, have
clipped the
edge of the jaws on occassion, I suppose...
