Yeah, like a year ago. Last Christmas I shipped a package Express Mail
(?) ("2-3 days delivery time") across country. I arrived before it did.
No sign of the package until the day before Christmas. They denied
that the delivery confirmation code was a tracking code, even though
every OTHER time I'd used it, it did. No intermediate PO's were
recorded. I think they were just too lazy to scan it, or else wanted an
excuse to lose it.

I am writing this feeling very relieved as a client in Colorado has
finally
received a package that I had sent from central Canada on Dec 9. They
had
paid for the order by PayPal on the 9th and chose that I send it
regular Air
Mail as opposed to Express Post as it saved about $8.00
Well we had just about given up hope of it arriving and I was planning
to
start redoing the order of 11 items. I had started an investigation at
this
end at Canada Post who promissed a refund up to a max of $130.00 even
though
the parcel was not insured. I was told wrongly that I could not insure
this
type of mail.
In the future for my own piece of mind and sanity retention, I will
only
ship Express Post where I can insure for the amount I choose, and I get
a
tracking number that I can use to follow the parcel on the internet
until it
gets received.
I'm sure some of you have had similar situations in the States
