To All,
I have only followed bits and pieces of this string because of the 
unwarrented ranting.
However, now it is time for my $0.02.
Lets assume that you have a 10" diameter flue and you light a match at the 
bottom.  My money is on the match being blown out by the descending column of 
cold air.
Light a ball of newspaper and hold it there for a while and there is a good 
chance that the flue will now draw.  In order for a cold flue to draw, you have 
to get all of the cold air out of the way.
I had this problem in my original shop.  The ball of newspapers works well.  
As a matter of fact a ball of unlit New York Times may work just as well.
