I like guns. I also like forging. So I have been forging guns.
Nonfunctional, actually, more like sculptures of guns. Too bad you cant
attach pictures to the forge emails, but I have posted a couple on the
yahoo site, under "forged weapons"

the big assault rifle is made from a piece of 2" schedule 40 pipe,
drilled and milled, then twisted. I have been playing around with the
technique of milling slots in pipe on the milling machine, then hot
twisting- the slots get all kinds of interesting shapes. The ends are
forged down to a point at one end, and flared out to a muzzle at the
other. the flat parts are mostly surface textured hot with magic
swaging dies from off center products. The handle on top is piece of 1"
square, cold twisted then forged into tapers at each end and riveted to
the barrel.

the burp gun is all forged stainless steel- the barrel is a piece of
textured stainless steel pipe I found, its originally for grab rails in
bathrooms or something like that. All of the other parts are forged
with surface texture, and the stock is a lot of reverse twists in 3/8"
round. stainless rivets, of course.

would you feel safer if I brought one of these with me on an airplane?
