[TheForge] propane forge burner book

Mike,
Don Fogg popularized the concept of using the blown burner on a vertical
pipe forge.
You don't need high gas pressure in a blown burner, because the fan
supplies the necessary pressure, and the bell reducer tip increases the
velocity of the fuel air mix, to keep the flame front burning in the forge
instead of inside the burner itself.
You just have to make sure that your gas supply pipe is large enough to
supply the fuel necessary for the proper burn ratio and you make the fuel
air mix turn a few corners to create the proper turbulence to get a
combustible mix.
Remember Natural gas supplies about half the BTU's of Propane so you need
twice the fuel volume for the equivalent heat out put.
