How perfectly awful. While waiting for further replies to my inquires, I 
looked up steam and water vapor. They are gasses just as much as free hydrogen is 
a gas. Furthermore, the fact that an evaporate can recondense would have no 
bearing on my burners, as the gas stream being ejected from the accelerator is 
clear.
This would leave me in the position of knowing the how, but having no 
slightest idea of why, these burners can achieve total primary flame combustion. What 
a dismal prospect. I am now going to go console myself with the latest 
edition of Anvil's Ring, which came just in time to lift my spirits.
Perhaps there will be a last minuet 'save' in the emails; prospects don't 
look good.
