Is there any more info on this accelerator? Any design details? What
does it do for burner operation?
I couldn't find anything on this on Larry's site. How is this different
from the reduction where the gas enters the MIG tip?
Marc
What is different, is that by swaging down, his gas tube creates a smooth
internal angle, helping to funnel gas into the MIG tip. I give directions to do
the same thing with internal drilling and filing, but this is a "for sale"
item. It is going to save people a lot of work in getting the gas tube just right.
Furthermore, it is a swaged steel tube. It is good and strong--that is
important for hand burners (torches). It has standard external 1/8 pipe threads for
easy fit up to a gas valve.
You haven't found it on his site, because it's brand new. After all, by
making this improvement Larry upset my apple cart (I will have to eat some words)
so turnabout is fair play--go bug him for prices. Be insistent, and upset his
day. I don't get any rest, so why should he?
