Hey!  I love the metric system.  I just don't want to ordered to use
it when it's not appropriate.  More, I don't want the innumerate GUM
to undertake to use it when they don't have a clue to begin with.

     "Snowfall is 2 to 4 millimeters."

Millimeters to measure snow?!  Gak!

     That's not snow

     Enough to track a cat

     Need to shovel

     Need to plough

     Need chains, snowshoes, skis

     Just stay inside, tunnel to outhouse tomorrow.
