I may have missed some of this thread so I apologize if I am treading on 
something already covered.

Copper grounding rod? Like to drive into ground for electrical systems? If so; 
most of those are not copper but copper coated I believe.

What type of torches do you have? Oxy/acetylene, propane? 
What type of solder are you trying to use?

Is copper very clean?

I do lots of brazing so feel free to contact me.
