[TheForge] Kitchen Utensil Finish?

Gosh, it's kind of like "I've fallen and I can't get
up!"

I'm making some toasting forks as a Christmas gift.  I
can't remember if it's better to put the cooking oil
finish on cold or hot.  What do you folks think?
