And your comment was not lost on me, irrespective of my birth date,  but 
I WAS trying to lose the whole thread topic.  EVERY side demonizes the 
other, cause shades of gray can't be sold in thirty second spots and 
they sure as hell won't fit on a yard sign.    And even if you had the 
time and space it would confuse the majority of the voting populace that 
have been educated with True/False and multiple choice tests and loathe 
essay questions.     As far as this group goes it is a pretty mixed bag, 
with liberals, conservatives, democrats, republicans and yes even gays 
regularily posting.  We even have some that appear to be liberal 
republicans after reading their posts for several years, but since since 
both major political parties have studiously avoided any blacksmithing 
related stances ( largely due to the fractious and opinionated nature of 
the group I expect) it doesn't leave us with much to discuss.
