Jeff also supplies 15N20 which is a nickel bearing steel used in damascus
billets and high temp salt for heat treating salt pots.  UMBA also has a
video of Howard Clark heat treating with salt.  Neat demo.  When the steel
had cooled to about 400 degrees he said the knife was hard but did not know
it yet.  He stuck the tip in the vise and bent the blade to a 90 and  let
air cool to room temp.  The next day the blade could not be straightened.
Said the usful part of this was when 400 degreees the blade could be tweeked
for straightness easily.
