I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news again but here it is. Bill
Gichner passed away this morning (December 8,2004) at about 10 a.m. He
went into a peaceful sleep with Bob Swenson beside him and a few minutes
later breathed his last breath. Bill now joins the other revered
blacksmiths that have done so much for the world of blacksmithing. His
constant support for the blacksmith community and for the educational
facilities will not be lost because he's gone but will stand as a living
memorial of what he has done for all of us. Service will be held on
Friday at 1 p.m. at the Addis Israel Synagogue in Washington, D.C. The
Synagogue is located at Conn. & Porter St. N. W. Washington. If you need
more information about the service or how to get there please call the
Synagogue. I will relay any more information as the family informs me.
