[TheForge] Cast Steel Anvils

Don,
I know a couple of guys who have been using the Russian anvil. They're both
hobby smiths and they're very happy with their anvils. For the money, it's a
decent little anvil. From the few I've seen, the face hardness varies a
little. Some seem harder than others. The horn cleans up with a grinder. If
they were $2/lb I don't think I would bother with them, but for about 72
cents a pound they are a good buy as a beginners or demo anvil.
I've been told that Harbor Freight no longer carries them on their website
and the stores won't be ordering any more. They will sell what they have in
stock. When they're gone, they're gone.
If anyone can confirm this, let me know.
Have a good one,
Rob
