Rick,
I didn't know you were going to be my free source.  I'm thinking 1 ton, 
mast type(bearings at bottom and top).  The ceiling height at bottom of 
timber is approx 14 feet.  I'd like the boom to reach approx 14-16 feet. 
 No counter weight, I want it to be against the wall.  Thanks.
