A few years ago I tried to do this on my 3RJ tester.
Needless to say it didn't work too well. :( What you
need is one of those tiny electronic Rockwell testers
that you hold against the surface by hand. They are more
accurate and faster... but the old mechanical ones are
	so much more fun. :)

Well, I know some of the anvils I shot were @ 450 when I
pulled them, but I also recall Marshall leaving a couple
in until 500, including that 450# Columbian, which I
foudn surprising, but he knows what he's doing, so I didn't
	say anything.

Of course, it could be that my memory is completely botched.

Yo ye pharoahs, let us walk through this barren desert,
in search of truth and some pointy boots,
and maybe a few snack crackers.
OWWWW WEEE baby, you make me wanna walk like a camel.
