	We (NJBA) always preheat to about 500*F despite claims
	that it is not necessary.  Preheating cannot hurt you
	and may help, so unless the mfr. explicitly says NOT to
	preheat, I would do so.  Our rebuilds come out quite
	perfect, if I do say so myself. :)

	I tihnk the mfr would tell you to go pound salt up your
	butt if you asked them to replace the anvil.  But you
	might get lucky.
