I just got back from the weld store with more questions than I had answered.
Most hardfacing rod they had was the super-abrasion kind (up to 60RC) and
has a two pass limit.
Of course, MG750 elicited a 'Whaa...?" response.
Is it made by Harris Welco?
They did have some 'supermissile' from them that is 312SS , designed for
dissimilar metals.
Time to do more research.

It is a " highest impact " rod used in the rock crushing industry.
Peen and work harden. Excellent for tool to mild.
I don't get a very good color match after rust as this is a high manganese
rod.
