I checked out the site ya recommended an there wasn't a $10.50, but
there was a $25. Whne I tried to buy it, it said it had been sold,
so I went to the nex one up an it was $30 an they went higher from
there. So it does sound like there are othe "Dirty Dawgs" out there.
Mite even be "Wolves". ... :o) TEX

I've seen this kind of thing before. About four years ago Ron Reil
recommended an out of print book (Wrought Ironwork: Forms, Production, Assembly) on his
website, which I jumped right on ordering after getting home from work. Being
on the West coast, I was several hours too late. The dozen or so copies he had
found were long gone. Amazon.com finally found me a copy about a year later.
Since then it has become even scarcer. So, the next generation of would-be
ornamental iron workers can just wait until mine dies off and our widows sell the
"junk" we've accumulated, for a copy. They should start becoming available
again about 2024.
Update: Amazon.com has one use copy of this 8" x 5" 97 page book in
acceptable condition available for a mere $85 dollars. Appalling isn't it? Yet, for
anyone interested in wrought ironwork, it's still a bargain. I don't allow my
copy to leave the room. Why? Because this is an original source--the only one
left--of the same information being taught in expensive blacksmith courses, which
people (who can afford them) have to give up their vacations for, while
flying off to stay someplace you couldn't otherwise pay them to visit.
Truly, when it comes to the Net, If you snooze, you loose (and the clock is
ticking. Going... going...)
