[TheForge] Hammer Drill in Basalt

Anyone try to anchor into basalt rock before? It's select aggrigate for
concrete so I assume it's no cakewalk to drill. I have found that it's
typically 8 on a Mohs hardness scale, with diamond being 10. Gee, I hope
it's brittle! (But I also found that for rock, it has high tensile
strength.)

I have a hammer drill that does fine with 1 1/4" holes in concrete. All I
need in 3/4" to anchor.

I'm going to try to find some closer than the jobsite to try it out but,
advice is most welcome.

How about acid?

Thanks for any help!
