I just got one of those pack-it-up-and-throw-it-on-the-mule box type forges
(used not much) from a friend who can't smith anymore.
No identifying marks- I always thought these were made for the military-
does anybody know if they were sold commercially?
Guessing that the "US ARMY" logo has been painted over.
Also, since it's kind of authentic, is there anything special about the
little three-screw cover that protects the blower fins in transit? If not,
I'll just make another one, if so, I'll try to buy one so that it's all
restored to original.
