The first 60 of mine and another dozen of another contributor the
original media in on VHS so the quality can not get better by making a
digital copy. The last 25 tapes were shot digital but I am putting up
to 4 hours and 55 Min on one DVD which is VHS or a little better
Quality.
I am going to end up with 150 DVD disks the way it is by using the
slowest speed the way it is with out putting an hour or two on each disk

What is the quality of most of the new DVD's like? are they a lot better
than the tapes or is the source still from a vhs tape? If I remember
rightly you did say you are using a digital handycam so the DVD's should
be great if this is the source?
