[TheForge] Firepot

I concur with Andrew, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I use an old firepot in a new homemade forge and mine is not anchored in any way. It never gives me problem. The ONLY time I notice it is not bolted down is when I've only got a small amount of coal along the sides and my coal shovel bumps the firepot. But the firepot only has about a half inch leeway, so it can't go anywhere.
If it is not about to fall through, I'd keep forging and forget about it.
