Drove 200 miles up to Antigonish to collect a non-working 6 cyl
Continental engine.  It's still a pig in a poke but:

Got a 7-1/2" leg vise for C$45.  Screw is fine.  Odd thing is that
there are two holes ca. 3/4" bored vertically through the jaws so that
half the hole is in each jaw, apparently to hold $ROUND_THINGS.
Spring and bench mount are missing and there are gobbets of arc weld
here and there where someone attached some kind of fixture but those
are all easily fixable.

Yee-haw!

(I'll be back soon with a much more humble tone, asking for advice on
the Connie engine. :-)
